Omoro Secondary School was initiated in 1983 under the Church of Uganda foundation and later established as a government-aided secondary school. The school serves learners from Alebtong District, the wider Lango Sub-Region, and other parts of Uganda.

Our roots
Omoro Secondary School is a government-aided, mixed day and boarding secondary school located in Akaidebe Village, Abukamola Parish, Omoro Sub-County, Ajuri Constituency, Alebtong District. Founded under the Church of Uganda foundation, the school has grown into one of the shining secondary schools in the Lango Sub-Region, east of Lira City, under the Diocese of Lango.
Since its establishment, Omoro Secondary School has remained committed to providing learners with quality education that prepares them for academic success, responsible citizenship, and meaningful contribution to society. The school welcomes students from different parts of Uganda and offers both Ordinary Level and Advanced Level education.
